I believe that everyone should have the right to a beautiful home. As a teacher and single mother with a very limited budget I have to get creative. I shop thrift stores and tag sales and friends’ homes to salvage pieces of furniture and repurpose them, giving those pieces a second life. The technique I use depends upon the piece. I refinish furniture, use milk and chalk paint, and wax. I love to distress and create a chippy finish. With a lot of meticulous work, I can give new life and a new purpose to my finds. All of my pieces are one-of-a-kind. Each piece has character, a past life, and that’s what I love about them. Since my house can hold only so much and I continue to find amazing pieces, I decided to start a business to share what I make with others. I also want to share the tricks and tips in my blog that I have learned with others to inspire their own creativity.
